Oh it’s so lovely to finally lift my gaze and see past my studio workbench. For those who connect with me on Instagram and Facebook you will know that I have been in the flow of busily working on a series of drawings for my upcoming solo show (details to follow) and whilst I love the time I spend immersed in my work (it’s like living in a cozy cocoon), it is also lovely to emerge, to look around, to move forward and to reconnect with the outside world.
So here I am, reconnecting, and filling you in on some things I haven’t yet shared….
Back in March this year I had the delightful opportunity to chat with Janine Stratford at the Art In Tune Art and Music Festival. This discussion is a pretty good summary of my artistic journey. We spoke about why I make art, my creative process, motherhood, and ‘Nestling Pears‘, the piece I had on show in the exhibition.
I am happy that I can finally post this interview. It was recorded in the gallery space so please excuse the sound quality and background noise.
