Home is where the heart is.
It’s also where we are more likely to air our grumpy moods, voice our neurotic anxieties and parade around in our underwear.
Home should be our safe place to live the behind-the-scenes version of our lives.
‘Home’ is a constant theme in my work. I love the ordinariness, the rawness, and the unadorned truth that to me is home.
In this new series of drawings titled House Hold Objects I am looking at small, practical household objects that are a constant in our lives that we mostly take for granted.
This series of drawings elevates the ordinary and pays respect to the role the familiar and the impact it has on our psyche.
